BDC-RFC-18 NHLBI BioData Catalyst Open Access Data

Background

The NHLBI and BioData Catalyst Consortium recognizes the importance of establishing a streamlined process for the handling of open access data across the ecosystem. The issue of open access data is complex, as there are many different types of data, many different mechanisms for exposing open access data, and many different layers of what is considered open access. In addition, the process should eventually be interoperable to the broader community.
