June 2020 Virtual F2F Meeting
ZOOMwas proud to host the seventh BioData Catalyst “Face-to-Face” meeting and the first conducted entirely virtually. 88 BDCatalyst consortium, Fellows, and NHLBI members registered for the two-day meeting, while a handful of juvenile “guests” dropped in to offer their opinions and insight as well.
Day 1started with a virtual Yoga session followed by introductions from Fellows Cohort 1, their project progress, and feedback to-date. An in-depth Q&A session was held with the Fellows, along with lessons learned shared by each of the element teams. Lunch plans, pictures, and recipes were shared via Slack, before resuming in the afternoon to discuss Workplan3.1 development and next steps.
Day 2kicked off with another virtual Yoga session followed by Working Group Updates and 3 breakout sessions focused around PI, Developer, and Fellows topics. After lunch, discussions resumed around Workplan3.1 and a retrospective of progress to-date and needed next steps.
